When Jim Ross says you're the closest thing he's seen to Shawn Michaels in his pomp, you don't really need anyone else to sing your praises.
AJ has taken the long road to the top, but his year in WWE has surely put paid to any lingering suggestions that he's just a minor league star. The Phenomenal One is capable of producing match of the year candidates with pretty much anyone on the roster - a talent we haven't seen since Shawn Michaels hung up his boots six years ago.
There's more chance of Vince McMahon admitting he was wrong about the former TNA star, but you can't blame wrestling fans for getting excited over the prospect of an AJ-HBK match at the Royal Rumble.
