10 Wrestlers Turning 40 In 2017

3. Brock Lesnar

A long time ago, Brock Lesnar became the youngest WWE World Champion in history. On July 12, 2017, he'll turn 40. He's certainly made notable use of the years in between.

Lesnar's original run in WWE only lasted two years, but it saw "The Next Big Thing" win the King of the Ring crown, the Royal Rumble, and three WWE World Titles, as well as main event WrestleMania XIX. After leaving the company, Lesnar briefly tried for a career in the NFL, and when that didn't work out, he returned to pro wrestling in Japan, then got involved in mixed martial arts.

MMA turned out to be a great fit for Brock, who was signed to UFC and became the group's Heavyweight Champion in 2008. That made him a bona fide celebrity, and the following year, he headlined UFC 100, which was (at the time) the company's most successful event ever. He lost the title in 2010 and retired from UFC in 2011, but he came back to WWE in 2012 and has since been a huge attraction for the company ever since.

Given the hard-hitting but relatively low-risk style Lesnar employs in the ring, there's no reason why he shouldn't be able to go for a while longer.
