10 Wrestlers Who Beat Goldberg
1. Brock Lesnar - WrestleMania 33
Not only did Brock Lesnar beat Goldberg for the Universal Championship in their clash at WrestleMania 33 last year, he beat him inside five minutes, bringing an abrupt end to the latter's impressive late-career run in the process.
This match marked the one and only occasion to date that the former WCW star has been defeated clean. There were no interferences here, nor was a cattle prod jabbed into his chest. He simply got his backside handed to him by perhaps the only man in wrestling history whose finishing move has been more protected than his own.
The fact that Goldberg, a man who has traditionally been accustomed to putting his opponents away before the one-minute mark, agreed to such a humiliating send-off is perhaps evidence that the one-time football player is not as greedy and self-interested as some have suggested.
It's not as though he was short on financial incentive to "do the job" in Orlando, but it seems impossible to imagine someone like, say, Hulk Hogan or Stone Cold bowing out under these circumstances. Hats off to Bill then, who has been duly rewarded with a Hall of Fame moment this time out.
