6. Becky Lynch
It made sense for WWE to start the first women's Royal Rumble with two Horsewomen. Their efforts sparked the 'Revolution' that brought us to this point, and if it weren't for them, the match may still be a pipe dream. Thus, it was entirely fitting when Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch strolled out at numbers one and two respectively.
This moment shows that WWE at least recognise Lynch's contributions, but the idea can't have been pitched by one Brian 'Road Dogg' James, whose SmackDown writing continually portrays Becky as a bit-parter. Granted, she has been presented reasonably strongly since returning from The Marine 6 filming duties, but few wrestlers suffered a more comprehensive relegation in 2017, when Lynch went from MVP to bench player.
SmackDown's booking team take Becky for granted. She's the smoothest worker in her division and a tremendous babyface, yet they're more concerned with pushing wrestlers well beneath her on the skill pyramid. This is one of the biggest reasons behind the group's slump in 2017, and after briefly spotlighting her in the Rumble, it's time WWE put Lynch on level footing with Charlotte Flair at the top of the pile.
