10 Wrestlers Who Deserve A Big Push After WWE Royal Rumble 2018

5. Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston's Royal Rumble escape acts are always a fun highlight, and this year's was one of his best. Thrown over the top rope by Jinder Mahal, one of Kofi's feet landed on the felled Xavier Woods, preventing his elimination. Big E then slid a plate of pancakes beneath his shoe, freeing Xavier. Seconds later, Kingston's New Day colleagues helped spring their acrobatic partner back into the ring, right over Mahal's head.

The seven-time Tag Team Champion was eliminated soon after, but he had his annual moment in the sun. Still, watching Kofi notch yet another highlight raises the question: why isn't he given more chances to impress outwith the Rumble?

He's one third of WWE's strongest stable, but Kingston hasn't experienced a decent singles push in years. This is a shame, as there's no reason why he can't leave the tag work to E and Woods, then embark upon a solo upper-midcard run, while still remaining part of the group. Kofi is more than deserving, and if he were allowed to showcase his Rumble creativity on a more regular basis, we've no doubt he'd become even more popular than he currently is.
