10 Wrestlers Who Deserve A Big Push After WWE Royal Rumble 2021

1. Edge

Prior to last night, Edge had wrestled three matches in nine years. He is 47 years old and coming off a serious arm injury sustained while wrestling Randy Orton in the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever, and previously admitted the recovery didn't go anywhere near as smoothly as he would have liked.

Despite all this, Edge wrestled for 58 minutes last night, entering the Royal Rumble first and taking the win by dumping Orton out at the very end. That's Herculean.

Edge was the feel-good story of the year in the 2020 Royal Rumble. Last night's showing wasn't quite the same (how could it be?), but it was still huge. Packed with emotion, grit, and heart, he brawled with Orton in the opening stages, was moved close to tears when Christian entered at number 24, and kept up with everyone he shared the ring with. Not once did Edge look off the pace.

Again, he is 47 years old.

What happens next is anyone's guess, as lingering Orton issues complicate his WWE Championship chase. Let's just hope the destination is as rewarding as last night's journey was.
