10 Wrestlers Who Mock You For Taking It Seriously

9. CM Punk

He may be the Voice of the Voiceless, but rumour has it that CM Punk can be a bit of a spiky figure. Madness! There's nothing wrong with this, of course, and stupidity should more often than not be stopped in its tracks. That Punk does this with a sharp tongue and an iron-sharp wit is merely the way it must be.

Punk's comments are almost always valid. In the summer of 2019, he decided enough was enough, as fans continued to barrage his Twitter with questions about his theoretical return, as well as comments about how sh*tty the WWE product was in the modern day and age. It all lead to an endearingly well-balanced response that hit the nail square on the head;

"Since I can't have fun and tweet about movies or baseball without you telling me about rasslin', question for you: Why do you spend your time on something you hate? If it's soooooo bad, leave it. I did. Works wonders. I look forward to the intelligent discourse,"

The man has a point. He may have crossed the line in the past when it comes to fan interactions at shows, but he's right more than he is wrong.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
