Sometimes, there is such an obvious path for a championship that it writes itself, and if WWE doesn't do it, they've lost their minds.

Now that there are midcard titles for the women's division, the Women's Intercontinental Championship and Women's United States Championship belts are perfect for someone like Roxanne Perez to win and take another step up toward the top of the ladder, without rushing.

After proving herself in NXT and then winning the Women's Tag Team Championship in 2025, the next logical step is for her to capture a midcard title, as she's young enough that she doesn't need to jump straight to the world title.

Perez should beat Maxxine Dupri, ideally before WrestleMania, so one of the big matches on that card can be Perez against her idol, AJ Lee. Those two have too much history together to not have a feud while Lee is back in the fold.

Since Lee is a part-time performer, giving her the top title in the women's division might be a stretch. But if she were to beat Perez for the Intercontinental Title instead, that gives her something for her legacy, boosts the credibility of that belt, and she can either drop it back to Perez or put over someone else. Everybody wins.
