10 Wrestlers Who Totally Wasted Their Own Potential

1. Teddy Hart

A product of one of wrestling's most famous and decorated dynasties, Teddy Hart's tale is one of staggering wasted potential.

The guy was an outrageous high-flyer. He could talk a little bit, projected star power, and often looked like the most spectacular wrestler you've ever seen. Few generated more excitement than Teddy when he was operating at peak capacity and there are still glimpses of that old magic in his work today, with the 39-year-old enjoying something of a career resurgence in promotions like MLW and GCW.

That's the problem, though. Teddy Hart shouldn't be wrestling for independent promotions after 22 years in the business, but adding more notches to a Hall of Fame-worthy career in a mainstream company.

Hart's problem is that trouble has always found him, though much of his issues were self-created. In 1998, he was the youngest person to ever be signed to a WWE developmental deal (at 18 years old), but he was binned for attitude issues in 2002, and has made enemies of the likes of CM Punk, Konnan, and countless promoters since then. Sadly, there were times when his personal and attitude problems looked insurmountable. They destroyed his career.
