10 Wrestlers Who Were ARRESTED In The Middle Of Major Storylines

4. Marty Jannetty

There's an entire book waiting to be written about Marty Jannetty's legal issues, and the genre of that book would be tragedy. The former Rocker could have been every bit as successful as Shawn Michaels, but his scandalous personal life repeatedly got in the way.

When Jannetty and Michaels split in late 1991, the plan was to have them face off at WrestleMania 8. This would have been a huge match, but 'Party Marty' just had to live up to his nickname.

On January 25th 1992, Jannetty got into a fight with some police officers in Tampa, Florida after the woman he was with got caught using a fake ID. He was charged not only with resisting arrest, but with drug possession after a gram of cocaine was found on his person.

Jannetty was suspended by WWE and placed under house arrest for six months. This scuppered any chance of a Rockers blow-off bout at WrestleMania, with HBK instead facing Tito Santana.

Over the next three decades, Jannetty's issues with substances have got him into hot water many more times. A very sad story.
