10 Wrestlers Who Will Never Be World Champion Again

8. Asuka

Unstoppable undefeated streak, grand-slam champion, Royal Rumble winner, Money in the Bank contract holder, there simply isn't a box Asuka hasn't ticked. Hell, in 2020 - arguably the most trying and difficult year in modern history - the former Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and Tag Team Champion wrestled more matches than anyone in WWE.

But in more recent times, it is starting to feel like the outstanding worker is beginning to transition into the role of veteran focused on putting over the next crop of out-of-this-world women on the roster.

In fact, Asuka's last run with a Women's World Title saw her doing precisely that, with the then-Raw Women's Champion dropping her strap to the up-and-coming Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 37.

Admittedly, it's not as though the ball of charisma is in desperate need of another singles strap to add to her already overflowing belt cabinet either. And there's still a decent amount of mileage in having Asuka act as a credible challenger to whichever rising stars need a notable notch on their belts.

Also, would you really be that upset if Asuka was simply used in consistent title-free dream matches against the likes of IYO SKY and Ronda Rousey until she calls time on her career?
