While using the word ‘revelation’ to describe Elias on the main roster might be a stretch, it feels like an understatement when it comes to Aleister Black’s run on NXT. The former Tommy End is still undefeated in WWE developmental, and it is clear that the company has big things in store for the most unique performer on the roster today.

Black has the look, the character and the wrestling ability to be an absolute megastar. The assumption would be that he is set for a marquee role at NXT TakeOver: Dallas, and an NXT Championship could well be in his future. If that doesn’t come to pass, then the main roster and bigger success beckons.

WWE’s main roster has done a poor job of booking NXT stars on the whole, and Aleister Black could prove to be its toughest assignment yet. The man from Amsterdam has been protected more than most in developmental, and almost certainly won’t be booked in such a strong manner on the main roster. Even so, championship gold is in his future.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
