10 Wrestlers With Unfinished Business In WWE

10. AJ Styles & Kevin Owens

AJ Styles Royal Rumble Elimination

AJ Styles made his long awaited World Wrestling Entertainment debut to a rapturous ovation at the Royal Rumble this year. Styles lasted half an hour in the match before being eliminated by none other than current WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens. KO would himself be eliminated by a returning Sami Zayn not long afterwards.

When Owens threw Styles over the top rope on that night back in January, excited murmurs of a program between the two leading towards WrestleMania began to spread. Heck, the Intercontinental Championship may even have been involved, and an IC Title program between Kevin Owens and AJ Styles would have been exactly what the IC Title Doctor ordered.

Instead, Owens derailing of Styles big entrance was largely forgotten and the two had a couple of throwaway matches on SmackDown. With both being at the top of their respective rosters now I'm sure the issue has long since been forgotten, but the potential pay-off is one that WWE fans may feel they've been robbed of.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
