From the current day to the long long ago, and a never completed beef between Lex Luger and Mr. Perfect. It is difficult to truly say where this one began, as at WrestleMania IX knocked the Perfect One out using his metal plate-enhanced forearm. Before 1993 was over Luger had transitioned from narcissistic heel to uber-babyface, and by the time it was WrestleMania season once again he was in line for a WWF Championship shot.

Luger took on WWF Champion Yokozuna at WrestleMania X, with the winner scheduled to move on to the main event against Bret Hart. The man Luger had knocked out a year prior was booked as the special guest referee, and it would be Curt Hennig who squashed Luger's dream. Well, you could say it was Luger who squashed the dream, as he pushed Hennig leaving Perfect no choice but to disqualify him.

So was that retribution for Perfect? It set up Mr. American Babyface Lex Luger to beef with Perfect through the summer, but Hennig decided he was done in the ring and it never happened. A simple story was left in the Unfinished Business pile.
