10 Wrestlers WWE Must Sign For The Global Cruiserweight Series

4. Evan Bourne

The Global Cruiserweight Series is likely to provide a chance for former WWE superstars to return to the company on short-term deals, in order to provide some existing name value. As geeky fans of the sport, we might get excited about Chikara's Jigsaw turning up, but the average WWE Network subscriber won't know who he is. They will be aware, however, of a man like Evan Bourne. During his tenure in WWE, the man many know as Matt Sydal was the premier high flying-talent in the company, although unfortunately for him this was before perceptions changed and smaller men with unique styles were given a fair shake. Bourne experienced pushes that stopped and started, tasted tag team success as part of Air Boom with Kofi Kingston and generally lost to Jack Swagger a lot. Still, despite the rocky booking he was subject to, I wouldn't be surprised to see Evan Bourne make a deep run in the tournament.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
