10 Wrestlers You Totally Forgot Headlined WWE PPVs
4. Chris Masters
Chris Masters's WWE career was a bit of a sad story. With a ridiculous physique and little else, Masters was shoved into the main-event scene shortly after his debut, though he clearly wasn't ready. After Eddie Guerrero's death and the implementation of the WWE Wellness Policy, Masters lost some muscle mass, and was ridiculed for it on TV by Triple H (who, mysteriously, remained the same size).
"The Masterpiece's" push fizzled, and he was fired. Eventually, the company brought him back for another run, but despite the fact that he had improved, he was seen as damaged goods and used as an undercard talent before being fired again.
During the early part of his career, though, Masters managed to compete in a pair of Pay-Per-View main events. The young star formed a tag team with Carlito, and together, the up-and-coming heels were chosen to represent Raw in an interbrand tag main event at Survivor Series 2005. Two months later, though, Carlito and Masters were at odds - both were part of John Cena's WWE Championship defense at New Year's Revolution, which took place in the Elimination Chamber.
