10 Wrestling Duos Who Shared The Most Bizarre Chemistry

8. Goldust & Booker T

Booker T is so enchantingly whacky that he didn't know Conrad Thompson, curator of Starrcast, had booked him for Starrcast.

Conrad Thompson had requested his presence on August 31, 2019, in Chicago, the date and site of Starrcast, and Booker T accepted - until he realised that he had, in fact, accepted an invitation to appear at Starrcast. Booker apparently told himself that Conrad "didn't just say that", and believed it to be a run-of-the-mill autograph signing. Booker had appeared at Starrcast over Double Or Nothing Weekend, and so it appears WWE pulled him from the event and made the ill-advised decision to let him cover his own back.

The genius behind his early 2000s partnership with Goldust is that, somehow, Booker was the straight man.

His incredulous, expressive face was the perfect foil for Goldust's over-the-top insanity, and his callous treatment towards his unwanted partner - "Yo dawg, you seen this gold freak anywhere?" - softened over time to add lovely will-they-won't-they build to their eventual, wholesome connection.

Booker's mode of default aggression, when pecked at, materialised in excellent comedic meltdowns, too, as when Goldust c*ck-blocked him in a motel room.

Genuinely hilarious, only-in-WWE stuff that is much-missed.
