On his weekly podcast, Jim Ross is often very candid and open with his thoughts about the current state of affairs in pro wrestling. Naturally, the legendary announcer dedicates a lot of minutes to discussing WWE, but he also talks about companies like New Japan, Ring Of Honor, and Lucha Underground.

TNA discussion is often minimal, but a lack of interest is a problem facing the promotion at large. There's been a real downward trend in TNA over the past few years, even when going under the 'Impact Wrestling' brand. That's something Ross believes they will need to change if they ever hope to win wrestling fans back in the long run.

There've been a lot of rumours surrounding fresh investors in TNA recently. Should that happen, Jim Ross feels there must be wholesale changes. Writing on his official website, the former WWE commentator said that TNA badly needs a complete rebrand, as it would allow them to start from a clean slate.
