1. Vince McMahon Told Jerry Lawler He Missed The Way He Used To Be

Recently, regular viewers of WWE television can't have failed to notice that Jerry 'The King' Lawler has reverted to playing more of a heel behind the announce desk. This is a throwback to his previous guise as a villain, following years of fulfilling a more neutral role cheering on the babyfaces.

It's obvious that a change had been required for years, because Lawler was becoming incredibly stale on commentary. It appears it wasn't only fans who thought so, because the man himself had wanted to do something about it for quite some time.

During a chat with Cerrito Live, Jerry said his boss felt exactly the same.

Approaching Lawler backstage, none other than Vince McMahon told him that he missed the way he used to be in the company. Mixing slapstick jokes with crude humour and a dorky vibe, Lawler was a riot on announcing duty alongside McMahon in the mid-1990's.

Later, he formed an incredibly successful partnership with Jim Ross during the 'Attitude' Era.

Becoming a heel once more, he appears re-energised on episodes of Smackdown, and it seems McMahon badly wanted the old 'King' to make a comeback.
