7. WWF Refused Singles Run For Animal
Something that's become clear over the years is that both Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal had a strained relationship at times. A lot of these problems stemmed from Hawk's personal problems with drugs and alcohol, something that Animal felt was getting in the way of their career as a tag-team. Those troubles would come to a head in 1992. Shortly after the huge SummerSlam 1992 Pay-Per-View in London, England, Hawk was fired by the then-WWF. His drug woes had spiraled out of control, and he was deemed a liability to the company. Around that same time, Animal was wondering what would become of him in the company. After all, Hawk and he had never worked in the WWF as anything other than a duo. The Legion Of Doom now fractured, Animal was interested in working as a singles star, at least until Hawk was ready to return. This was something management weren't too keen on, and Animal suffered as a result of Hawk's contract being terminated. It would have been interesting to see where Animal would have fit into the WWF roster in late-1992. Would a long Road Warrior have been successful? Fans would never know, because Animal left the company following a shoulder injury.
