10 Wrestling Legends Who Bled The Most For Their Art

2. Ric Flair

Is The Nature Boy the greatest ever?

There have been a lot of supporters for this argument. Flair could do it all in his prime and indeed for several years after. An elite level promo and wrestler as both a heel and a face, Flair could also work various wrestling styles and influenced every generation of wrestler (and hip hop artist) to come in the years since.

Flair too was no stranger to needing stitches after bell time and his fondness for bloodshed only ramped up in the later years of his active career (see the horrendously nasty bout he put on with Mick Foley in 2010). Between his energetic selling and the waterfall like force of his bleeding, Flair was a master at unsettling audiences with his hair reddening antics.

Flair’s forehead is a scarred ruin thanks to his reliance on bleeding to sell bouts. Whether such wear and tear was really necessary for someone as talented and popular as Flair is anyone’s guess but everything Flair did, from his booze to his wrestling, got his 110%.
