Hornswoggle is the cutesiest exemplification of how hard it is for WWE to shake outdated cultural stereotypes, even in the 21st century. "You're a short person who wants to be a professional wrestler, eh? Well, we already did the clown thing, so let's make you a leprechaun. That's GOLD!"

WWE Studios is in the business, primarily, of finding ways of getting their in-ring talent into the motion pictures, so it makes sense to craft a movie around a unique crowd favorite, even one as hokey as Hornswoggle.

But did that film have to be a prequel to the horrible Leprechaun franchise?

Who had the idea to take a character like Hornswoggle, clearly aimed at a very young audience, and turn him into a flesh-eating monster in an R-rated slasher flick? Was it the same person who decided to give Hornswoggle zero lines and make him appear so blurry that one could assume the director just slapped a grotesque rubber suit onto a border collie and let it run in front of the camera? Because those were...barely ideas.
