10 WWE Hell In A Cell 2019 Impulse Reactions

2. Bayley (c) Vs. Charlotte Flair

Michael Cole noted that it had been a "bad night for the Boss N Hug Connection" as Bayley sat disconsolate on the arena floor after losing her SmackDown Women's Championship to Charlotte Flair, but that didn't even seem the central plot point after an underwhelming match with 'The Queen' reached its clean conclusion. If indeed there was one at all beyond Flair claiming her tenth title in four years.

This was better than their Clash Of Champions quickie obviously, but this was perhaps the first time their character motivations didn't really mesh for a greater good.

Bayley as the heel that doesn't quite know she's turned has been enjoyable thus far, but Charlotte Flair the d*ckhead babyface isn't quite as charming. Oil and water compared to peanut butter and chocolate, this was a decline in quality from their recent offerings, with an overlong ending shot on Bayley's supposed despair that didn't really tell one story or another.

It was fortuitously followed by what will surely go down as the most controversial finish of 2019.
