Perhaps the most common WWE finish as of late, interference bringing a match to a premature end is not just a regular occurrence on Raw and SmackDown, but one which is guaranteed to happen each and every single week (sometimes multiple times on the same show). Any impact this now clichéd finish once had has been rendered meaningless. The frequency of this finish - it has an annoying tendency to happen in the main event most week - has done a lot of damage to the excitement fans experience when someone interferes. Whereas a sudden appearance from a Superstar was perhaps once met with genuine shock and confusion about what they were out there to do, it's now not hard to predict when a Superstar is about to intervene and lead to a disqualification finish. Need an example? Look no further than Neville's recent showdown with John Cena. With the latter set to face Rusev at an upcoming PPV, it was obvious that Neville would be stopped from getting the victory thanks to some timely interference from the Bulgarian Brute.
