10 WWE Match Results That Didn't Matter At All

Many of the matches on this list had dumb finishes, but it wasn't until after the matches ended that their results were completely invalidated. For a finish to invalidate itself as soon as it happens, it has to be so stupid that it seems to have been conceived almost ingeniously.

Such was the case at SummerSlam 2015, when Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker met in a rematch of their WrestleMania XXX encounter. In their first bout, Lesnar ended The Undertaker's streak, and this time, 'The Phenom' swore revenge. Did he get it? That really depends on your opinion, but no, not really.

At the conclusion of a very good match, Lesnar locked Undertaker in the kimura and forced him to submit - but referee Charles Robinson didn't see it. The referee hadn't been bumped or anything like that - he was simply inept. Lesnar started celebrating prematurely, allowing Undertaker to hit him with a low blow and put him in the Hell's Gate until he passed out.

The idea was to give Undertaker a win without really beating Lesnar, thereby setting up a rubber match, but all it did was show both guys lose. Lesnar, the heel, came off more sympathetic for being screwed, and Robinson was the only one who got any heat from the finish.
