10 WWE PPVs That Could Replace Payback

1. Genesis

If Vince McMahon did depart his on screen role, going forward Shane McMahon would be the owner of Monday Night Raw. On the other side, Stephanie would probably once again be put in charge of Smackdown. Another 'Brand Extension' could be discussed on screen, splitting the roster in half across both shows. Therefore, WWE may wish to have a fresh pay-per-view title for May 1. One idea would be Genesis. The actual definition of the word states that it refers to the 'origin or mode of formation of something'. That lends itself well to the brand divide, because it would be somewhat of the dawning of a new era in WWE. It would also instantly spark some intrigue, because what would such a pay-per-view entail? In the past, WWE haven't managed to convince the paying audience that Raw vs. Smackdown is a viable pay-per-view idea. Their last big push in that direction - Bragging Rights - was not a great success at the box office. This time however, people may be more receptive to the idea of change, because it would help switch up what is considered a desperately stale product at times.
