This match is the first that comes to mind for almost every wrestling fan with even a passing knowledge of TNA, whose decade-and-a-half existence has - according to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer - spawned just the one five-star bout.

If you're only going to have one, though, this is a pretty good one to have. It was so good, in fact, that it quickly became the yard-stick against which all future TNA matches are measured.

Triple threat matches - which often lack the epic feel of classic one-on-one encounters - are seldom given such acclaim, but then this was much more than simply a three-way bout for the X Division Title. It was also an exhibition of high-flying, break-neck speed wrestling of the kind that was, at one time, rarely practiced in the United States.
