10 WWE Stars To Take Seth Rollins' Place In The Authority

8. Kevin Owens

Given Kevin Owens' relationship with Triple H, his recent interactions with Seth Rollins, and the fact that he's fared a million times better on the main roster than pretty much every other NXT Superstar brought up to the in the past two years, the Intercontinental Champion being handpicked by The Authority to take on an enforcer role of sorts would definitely be what's Best for Business for this fan-favourite heel. It would also elevate the prestige of the title Owens holds (something which has already happened thanks to his consistent presence in the main events of Raw and SmackDown), but he could even drop the belt if it means he gets to hold the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. While Owens has been portrayed as something of a coward, he's still a tough SOB, and it's not remotely hard to imagine him using his position in The Authority to his advantage too. The best part would of course be potentially seeing Sami Zayn return to challenge Owens and The Authority, bringing at least the former down at next year's WrestleMania. Perhaps that last bit is the NXT fan in me being a little too hopeful, but there's definitely a lot of potential here for Owens to really flourish as a main eventer through a link to The Authority. With Rollins gone, Owens instantly springs to mind as the WWE's next top heel, and as Vince clearly sees something special in him, giving him the chance to have a run at the top and prove he can deliver is essential.
