10 WWE Stars To Take Seth Rollins' Place In The Authority

9. Cesaro

A big part of what made Seth Rollins a star and, ultimately, the WWE's top heel was his relationship with The Authority. Putting him in that position meant that he didn't struggle to find a place on the roster as both Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns have (albeit in very different ways), and while Vince McMahon may not see Cesaro as a main event star, a role such as this would go a long way in transforming him into one. Sure, it may seem counter-productive to turn Cesaro heel, but the same could be said about Rollins; he was a firm fan-favourite when he stabbed The Shield in the back. The "Cesaro Section" signs may disappear if the Swiss Superman joined The Authority, but it makes perfect sense that Triple H and Stephanie would turn to one of the strongest and most athletic Superstars on the roster to do their bidding. Even if Cesaro's role with the faction doesn't put the WWE World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, a main event position is essential for his career at this stage. In Rollins' absence, Cesaro would have the chance to tear it up on the weekly shows and special events on a regular basis, something which simply hasn't happened up until now. There's also a potentially great narrative here, especially if the story were to revolve around Cesaro turning on the loyal fans who may have brought signs to the show, but ultimately didn't help him get to a top spot on the card; he did that himself by throwing in with The Authority.
