When Kevin Owens first came into WWE, he was one of the hottest indie stars in the wrestling world - an extremely talented in-ring worker with the mic skills to back it up. A considerable question mark lingered over his appearance, and whether he'd be accepted by those in the company with a more old-school mentality regarding the 'superstar look'. It has since been revealed that Triple H cast the deciding vote to give Owens a chance in NXT, and the former ROH Champion has certainly made the most of the opportunity. Building off of his status as an internet darling, he burst onto the scene with a trio of excellent matches against John Cena, and is currently getting over as an uber-cocky, aloof Intercontinental Champion. As talented as he is, the primary reason Owens is so popular - and so well-positioned to become a future main event stalwart - is that he truly acts like nobody else on the roster. Who else would fake a suicide dive to the outside, only to casually roll out of the ring instead? Or spend an entire lumberjack match looking like he'd rather be anywhere else, refusing to interfere at all? Not since CM Punk has there been a superstar with such a "don't give a damn" attitude - a charisma appeals to a great deal of fans, regardless of how admirable or detestable such a trait may actually be.
