Being rolled out in-front of a live crowd who don't know who you are, in one of WWE's toughest periods, and being proclaimed as the 'Chosen One' by Vince McMahon is a tall order for anyone. Drew McIntyre found this out, when the then clean-cut, lean Scot arrived in 2009.

Already battling against the notion of being handpicked for success, the 'Chosen' moniker hung heavy around McIntyre's neck and a forgettable run as WWE Intercontinental Champion and World Tag Team Champion with Cody Rhodes followed. Swiftly, the 2020 Royal Rumble winner fell down the pecking order and was released by the company in 2014 amidst a run as part of the jobber group 3MB.

Rechristened Drew Galloway, the 'Scottish Warrior' went on a tear through the independent scene, winning numerous titles and chiselling himself into an absolute specimen. When he finally returned to WWE in 2017, he was a different beast entirely. A dominant run on NXT followed and ever since he hit the main roster in 2018 alongside Dolph Ziggler, the Ayr native has been treated as an absolute star.

Along with the aforementioned Royal Rumble win, he defeated Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 and has since held the belt once more. Now a certified main eventer, the 'King of the Claymore' is one of the most reliable men in the company. Perhaps Vince McMahon was right all along?
