10 WWE Stars Who Were Drafted To The Right Show (And 5 Who Weren't)

First, it's imperative we address the elephant in the room: Apollo Crews getting drafted in the ninth round at No. 45 was absolutely ridiculous. That just goes to show how small of a priority he has been for WWE since his premature call-up from NXT the night after WrestleMania 32.

That said, he should start to hit his stride on SmackDown.

Crews has all the tools to be a major player in WWE down the line, but what he has lacked is real direction. He engaged in a short-lived feud with Sheamus, beat him in impressive fashion at Money in the Bank, and that was about it as he has been overlooked in the last month.

SmackDown seems to feature more up-and-coming athletes than Raw, so SmackDown is the perfect place for him.

The blue brand may have gotten the short end of the stick in terms of star power, but Crews can most definitely be a very valuable asset to the Tuesday night program in due time with the right push. Give him a chance to shine and I guarantee you he will make the most of it.
