Another staple of SmackDown over the years, Christian competed in a whole host of different types of matches and won a whole host of different championships on the show during his career. Christian wrestled in 198 matches on SmackDown over his career, just six more than The Undertaker.

Christian didn't start quite as glamorously as the Deadman, however, and had to wait until August of 1999 to make his SmackDown debut. Don't expect it to get any better, either, as he arrived on the blue show with his 'brother' Edge as part of a seven-team elimination match.

The other teams in the match? Mideon & Viscera, The Hardyz, the APA, Stevie Richards & The Blue Meanie, Prince Albert & Droz and The Holly Cousins, with Hardcore and Crash coming out victorious.

Christian's last SmackDown match came in a victorious effort against Dolph Ziggler in 2014, and that was that. Christian was quietly released from his performer's contract earlier this month, so no more Smackdown matches await him.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
