7. Scott Steiner
WWE.comScott Steiner was always viewed as a NWA/WCW guy by fans. It's where he made a name for himself with his brother Rick. The Steiner Brothers were one of the best tag teams in wrestling history. When they jumped to WWE in late 1992 it was pretty surprising, but they made an immediate impact and were able to win two tag team titles. The Steiners went back to WCW in 1994, teamed for a couple of more years and then Scotty ended up becoming a singles star. He climbed the ranks in WCW by joining the NWO, winning the US Title and eventually the World Title in 2000. Steiner changed as a performer because he went from being one of the best technical wrestlers in the early 1990s to a guy that was as jacked up as anybody that had no fear on the microphone. The "Big Poppa Pump" persona he developed really worked right up until WCW's last day when he dropped the World Title to Booker T on Nitro. Following the death of WCW, WWE brought in a lot of ex-WWE guys. It was Steiner's turn in late 2002 as they billed him as a big deal that had Stephanie McMahon from Smackdown and Eric Bischoff from Raw bidding for his services. He became a Raw guy that was thrust into a feud with Triple H in early 2003. It was boring. Didn't work. Steiner ended up being just a regular guy for the next year before leaving the company in 2004 for good. It would be nice if Scott and his brother Rick made it into the WWE Hall of Fame one day because they really were one of the best teams ever. Scott was great on his own too. What may hurt them is that Scott has been very critical of Triple H in his post WWE career, so it may never happen even though it should.
