10 WWE Superstars In Dire Need Of New Finishers

7. Sami Zayn

Current Finisher: Helluva Kick

Because of his smaller stature, Zayn has to use his higher agility to get the better of his opponents, and his current finisher doesn’t do that. In fact, the running Big Boot is a move that’s more suited to a larger wrestler (like Test, for example), and doesn’t look right when being used by Zayn.

He needs something that better complements his high-flying style and technical precision, instead of using a move that looks somewhat awkward when he executes it.

Suggested New Finisher: Running Yoshi Tonic

The Yoshi Tonic is one of the most impressive cruiserweight moves out there. It’s basically when someone reverses a Powerbomb with a Powerbomb of their own, by rolling off of their opponent’s shoulders and spinning them around to reverse the original Powerbomb.

Zayn has used this move on a few occasions, and when he has, it has gotten far louder of a reaction than his actual finishing maneuver. Moreover, it fits him much better as a finishing move because it amplifies his presentation as an underdog.

By countering an opponent’s maneuver into his own, and by emphasizing the move’s ‘reversal’ nature, it makes Zayn look like a cleverer wrestler that his opponents need to keep a sharper eye out for.

Then, of course, there’s the fact that it’s one of the most aesthetically-pleasing moves in wrestling today. Given Zayn’s already-impressive suicide-dive-tornado-DDT, it would make sense to add even more artistic flair to his move-set.
