10 WWE Superstars John Cena Has ALREADY Ruined Since Going Part-Time

Though he's proven himself substantially more versatile than the one-note evil foreigner he arrived in WWE as, Rusev's original tenure following his NXT call-up was at least a safe proving ground for the 'Bulgarian Brute'.

Unbeatable, Rusev worked around the limitations of his dated persona to win the United States Title. He'd effectively hold the belt hostage as a symbol of dominance over American superstars, no matter how much red, white and blue they decked themselves out in.

WrestleMania 31 was the time and date for John Cena to save the day, having failed once a month prior at February 2015's Fastlane. Though sad to see it depart, Rusev's undefeated streak had to meet it's end eventually. Following several more Cena scraps, it was as if it had never existed.

Such was the case following his 2017 return. Rusev had initially refused to work on SmackDown Live! unless Shane McMahon and/or Daniel Bryan put him in a title match. The story was abandoned alongside all of poor Ru-Ru's hopes and dreams, as WWE farted out a jingoistic flag match angle to fill the time. Cena won, easily, again.
