Triple H may have unexpectedly brought his shovels back out of storage for the bizarre Survivor Series 2017 main event, but Randy Orton miraculously fell to a Braun Strowman Powerslam rather than yet another Pedigree.

'The Game' made burying 'The Viper' under the guise of putting him over into an artform over the 2000s, dishing out heavy high profile defeats to Randy in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 AND 2009 whilst laying down just enough to look as though he was sharing the wealth. Orton was basically a younger, smoother version of 'The Game'. Was it his infamous insecurity acting up. And could that be John Cena's own beef with The Miz?

He wilfully reduced the 'A-Lister' to nothingness during their 2011 WrestleMania programme, despite losing to him in their maiden encounter to facilitate a one-year rivalry with The Rock. When he did get the better of him in the months that followed, the victories were so comprehensive that Miz somehow found himself worse off than he was before cashing in.

As 2017's most valuable full-timer, he deserved much better when the two collided at February's Elimination Chamber. Miz may not have been the threat that night, but Cena rolled back the years with a humbling squash. It's a good job they didn't have another WrestleMania match to build to...
