Mysterio's future with WWE is up in the air at the moment. The companys biggest little man has been missing from our television screens for some time and an end to the controversy surrounding his contract doesnt seem imminent. Mysterio had reportedly met with Vince McMahon in May to discuss his continued absence. McMahon made it clear he wanted Rey to return to action but the Lucha Libre reinforced his desire to leave. However, to get away, WWE believe he owes them some appearances. Nothing definitive came from the meeting, but from WWEs standpoint, they believe hell be working regularly in the build-up to WrestleMania 31. Triple H, who normally deals with talent relation issues, was joined by Vince to deal with Rey such is the high flyer's importance to WWE. His merchandise is still one of the company's biggest sellers. The Wrestling Observer recently reported Rey is set to return to WWE programming and will even a match at WrestleMania XXXI. His current deal with WWE will expire in April. This would allow him to work out his WWE contract through WrestleMania, then take his leave. Many think WWE will try and have Rey loose a mask v mask match at WrestleMania although an opponent for him is not clear.
