Take a scant look at the women's roster WWE offers to Raw viewers.

Iyo Sky is the reigning Women's World Champion and is a workrate machine; she, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley gave WWE its first five-star women's match at WrestleMania. Liv Morgan's time at the top may be done, her partnership with Raquel Rodriguez bringing Liv two runs as Women's Tag Team Champion this year. Bayley is consistently struggling, despite being a top-three performer in any room. Dakota Kai and Ivy Nile could be the next big thing that WWE is always looking for, but the company has waited too long to capitalise, particularly in Kai's case. Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark are non-factors without Sonya Deville. They couldn't give less of a sh*te about Natalya. Maxxine Dupri needs more work. Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Kiana James are all injured.

It doesn't look bright...

...which is all the more reason to fast-track Lyra Valkyria to the top.

She has already been positioned for such a spot, having been involved in Becky Lynch's return and subsequent heel turn and is, at press time, the Women's Intercontinental Champion. Lyra is a crisp worker. A deft worker. A spirited worker. She'll soar no matter the angle.

Just don't have Becky Lynch squash her with no follow-up.
