10 WWE Superstars Who Deserve A Secondary Title Reign
2. Asuka
Once a few of the women already mentioned have successfully graduated into world champion-grade stars, those currently sitting at the top table will have to find a space for themselves somewhere else. They differ from the men coming down from world to secondary title level because there is a chance to make history: as the true first-ever women's Grand Slam winner.
Of those on the main-event perch now, the most viable option to run the mid-card would be The Empress herself. Asuka's three reigns as world champion have been somewhat underwhelming, and as she approaches 40 (?!) she doesn't have as long left on top as her Four Horsewomen rivals. Once her time as Raw Women's Champion comes to an end, preferably in a year or two, she is the perfect woman to test a raw, hungry undercard.
She would be the gatekeeper of the main event. If you are ready for Asuka, you are ready for a world title shot. Despite being booked on a rollercoaster ride that would make Disneyland jealous, Asuka retains that star quality when she steps through the curtain. She can easily make stars out of anyone with a modicum of talent; look at the above-par matches she's gotten out of Zelina Vega.
