10 WWE Superstars Who Helped Define Extreme Rules
8. Daniel Bryan
His 1-2 record may not appear to be as great as that of CM Punk, but it’s arguable that Bryan has made more of an impact at the Extreme Rules PPV nonetheless.
We’ve already mentioned his successful title defence last year against Kane, during which he hit that awesome diving head butt from the forklift. And of course the previous year he did the honours for the Shield—a great bit of business it must be said, the dividends of which are clear to see in this year’s card.
And in his only other Extreme Rules appearance, he was once again on the losing side, but in doing so made quite the impression in what I remember to be a top-notch 2-out-of-3 falls match with Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship. As we’ve already said, sometime performances rank higher than wins in the world of professional wrestling.
And providing he’s fit enough to compete this weekend, expect him to fortify his position on this list with another stellar showing at this year’s show.
