10 WWE Superstars Who Recovered From Disgrace

4. Bruce Prichard

Bruce Prichard's unlikely return to the wrestling zeitgeist hasn't been without fresh controversy - his 'Something To Wrestle' podcast with Conrad Thompson has yielded countless contested anecdotes alongside accusations that he's been loose with the truth in the interest of providing entertainment - but the odd spell of internet aggro can't compare with the sh*tstorm he caused at the bitter end of his lengthy WWE tenure.

Long an adversary of an advancing Stephanie McMahon despite his close-knit relationship with her father, Prichard finally got the bullet in 2008 after nearly producing one of his own in the most dangerous way possible.

Prichard confirmed that he actually took a gun into WWE headquarters, despite noting that it was due to the fact that he was in between residencies due to the devastation to his home caused by Hurricane Ike. Prichard and family were lodging with John Bradshaw Layfield at the time, and Bruce believed the gun was best placed in a lockbox in his office rather than in JBL's house.

McMahon later had a meeting with him to express her disbelief that he'd brought the gun to work. Prichard commented that the act may have been the excuse Stephanie was looking for to oust him outright, but that it didn't excuse his admittedly poor decision.
