10 WWE Superstars Who Should Switch Brands In 2017
5. The Undertaker
This is a weird one, considering that The Undertaker has already switched brands unofficially on a whim. Despite declaring Smackdown to be ‘his home’ back in 2016, The Deadman eventually found himself on RAW this year, with his brand philandering never mentioned on air.
This is because, as WWE’s longer ‘flagship show’, RAW appears to have monopolised ‘novelty’ or ‘attraction’ matches, big name bouts designed to rope in lapsed or casual fans through nostalgia. Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg, The Undertaker appearing in the Royal Rumble, and whatever Shaq and Big Show are up to all stand as examples of this. They all serve to push Smackdown’s full time wrestlers further down joint PPV cards.
He may only be a part-timer, but if The Undertaker were to firmly stake a claim to SmackDown, the brand with which he is synonymous, he’d be able to elevate lower full time talent to main event spots. It’s a feud that Baron Corbin was born for, and could even lead to dream matches with John Cena and AJ Styles. The Undertaker will do just fine as a sideshow attraction on RAW, but he’d be able to make a much bigger impact over on the blue brand, which could really use some star power.
