Bruce Prichard revealed during an episode of his 'Something To Wrestle With' podcast that Vince McMahon's first reaction upon meeting Eddie Guerrero in 2000 was, "he's so damn small." The boss's outlook on the Latino sensation's chances as a headliner had changed drastically by 2004.

How else could anyone explain why Guerrero was booked to defeat WWE pet project Brock Lesnar and become the promotion's top titleholder at No Way Out in February of that year?

It's true that Lesnar was on his way out of WWE and that Eddie had been a real success story as part of SmackDown's blooming Tag-Team and United States Title divisions since 2002, but there was still a sense of genuine shock when he hit a Frog Splash on Brock and pinned the muscle-man to become WWE's new champ.

Lesnar had seemed to be heading for a WWE Title showdown with Bill Goldberg at WrestleMania XX. Instead, that match was a mid-card washout compared to Guerrero's cracking tussle with Kurt Angle on the same show.
