10 WWE TV Matches That Were Better Than They Had Any Right To Be
5. Becky Lynch Vs. Sasha Banks (Main Event, 10/11/15)
Before Becky Lynch had discovered she was The Man and Sasha Banks had delved into a new bluer perspective of the world, the Horsewomen were doing battle on Main Event.
There's a reason this match-up feels so fresh in 2019. It's because the two have faced off in singles competition only a handful of times on the main roster, with the last bout between them coming on a 2016 episode of SmackDown.
Fresh off their feud in NXT, their chemistry was clear from the get-go. The WWE Universe of 2015 didn't bargain for the complexity of the narrative shared by The Boss and Lass-kicker to be so engaging as to force them to invest in the two unproven women.
Lynch dominates the early proceedings with a controlled manipulation of Banks' arm, trying to set up her Disarm-Her submission finish. However, Banks matched Lynch's offense with bone shuddering strikes and eventually tapped out Lynch using her Bank Statement. Though this contest lacks a definitive programme to back the action up, it was still way more compelling than anyone could have prophesied.
