10 WWE Wrestlers Who Lost On Their Debut

3. CM Punk

A video uploaded to WWE's official YouTube channel titled "CM Punk's WWE Debut" shows him beating Justin Credible on an August 2006 episode of ECW - but, though it pains us to do it, we're going to have to contradict them here.

Punk's real first match in a Vince McMahon ring came on an episode of Sunday Night Heat in April of the previous year, a tag team bout in which he and Russell Simpson (whoever the hell that is) were defeated by the exciting pair of Maven and Simon Dean.

But since we're not including multi-man matches, we'll instead go for his first singles bout on WWE TV a couple of weeks later on the same show. His opponent for this one was former pornstar Val Venis, and the result, unfortunately for the Straight Edge Superstar, was exactly the same.

At the time, Punk was still technically a free agent. In fact, it was a month later that he won the ROH World Championship, a title he threatened to take with him to the biggest show in town after morphing into a mega heel in preparation for his final run on the independent scene.
