10 WWE Wrestlers Who Survived HORRIBLE Debuts

On 7 June 2010, the landscape of WWE changed forever...or so we thought. That episode of Raw saw the arrival of Nexus, a group of rookies from the first season of NXT looking to make an impact. However, the next time they appeared on screen, their numbers had mysteriously fallen from 8 to 7.

Daniel Bryan, one of the finest independent wrestlers in the world at the time, had not only been fired from the group, but from the entire company. His crime? Choking ring announcer Justin Roberts with a tie, an act deemed too violent by WWE's sponsors

This could have been the end of the 'American Dragon', but it turns out it was the best thing that ever happened to him.

Bryan would make his return to WWE against Nexus at SummerSlam 2010. Whilst that group died a slow, painful death, he was allowed to pursue his own singles career, and we all know how that ended. If Bryan had stayed in the Nexus, he might have gone down with the sinking ship. Maybe this was his plan all along.

Vegans can see into the future, right?
