2. Drew McIntyre

He might have lost the WWE Championship to that damn snake, but Drew McIntyre retains his God-given genetics, his movie-star good looks, his imposing presence and that most desirable of all attributes; being Scottish.

In many ways, Drew McIntyre is the ultimate professional wrestling wet dream. The former Chosen One deserves that old moniker, such are his obvious attributes and his almost comprehensive box-ticking. For those who judge their wrestlers on aesthetics first and foremost, McIntyre is a towering titan of a human being, chiselled out of stone and experience in equal measure. He looks like the perfect mix of traditional and modern, a decidedly-modern take on the hulking physiques of yesteryear.

McIntyre may have the muscles of yesteryear, but his in-ring work is light years beyond the famous names of decades gone by. He has shown time and time again that he is a consummate professional between the ropes, capable of dominating opponents or gaining babyface sympathy, not the easiest thing to do when you are 6'5" and 250lb.

He ticks all the boxes and is almost certainly a dream on chat shows. Get that belt back on Drew McIntyre, pronto.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
