11 HUGE NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard Predictions You Need To Know

9. Rush Vs. Dalton Castle

NJPW/ROH

Two of the most charismatic wrestlers on the planet collide in a bout that won't be calibrated to challenge for Match Of the Night honours, but should deliver enough solid action to get the Madison Square Crowd going.

CMLL standout Rush signed for Ring Of Honor in January. He has since gone undefeated in singles competition, besting the likes of Bandido and Mark Haskins in 2019, though Dalton Castle, the former ROH Champion, is his sternest opponent yet. Last year's debilitating back injury has robbed much of his old in-ring prowess, though. He remains an incredible character, but Castle isn't the wrestler he used to be, with his physique, movements, and execution notably diminished from his heyday.

But 'The Party Peacock' remains a pushable commodity. He started 2019 on the fringes of the World Title scene, and should probably be considered the kayfabe favourite against Rush. Regardless, it feels very much like this bout was put together to give the Mexican a notable scalp on his journey to the top of the card, with bigger, brighter, and better things awaiting the Ingobernable after MSG.

Winner: Rush.
