11 Huge WWE SummerSlam 2022 Predictions You Need To Know

1. The Comeback Queens

For the last several months, Bayley's return has been forecast in articles such as these and others for three reasons:

1) She's been a much-missed presence in an under-cooked women's scene in desperate need of somebody just like her. Arguably the best all-rounder in the division and somebody that proved her value more than ever during 2020's darkest days, the longest-reigning SmackDown Women's Champion could be either 'Hugger' or 'Role Model' and still bring the house down.

2) The timing of her injury was impossibly cruel. Having grafted in empty buildings since WWE's very first match in one back in March 2020, she tore her ACL just days before SmackDown went live with people and weeks before a sold out Money In The Bank pay-per-view battle with Bianca Belair.

3) She's foreshadowed it herself. Lots of tweets, images and mentions that have left a possible return on the hook.

With these in mind and a roster still in need, there already seemed like no better spot than a stadium SummerSlam, and that was before recent seismic developments.

Imagine her return was already on the table. Then imagine that, per Triple H's installation as both creative and talent relations tsar, Sasha Banks and Naomi were convinced that brighter days (mirroring those 'The Boss' in particular experienced with him on NXT) are ahead. Then imagine that these two events conspired to result in one of the biggest pop pile-ups in SummerSlam history.

Unlikely, but not impossible. And based on the events of the last couple of weeks, what's not to like about those odds?
